Comments

| The title of this work is the war cry of the Almogàvers (Catalan medieval warriors). The composition is divided in two sections: the first one is a slow introduction that describes the farewell of the warriors when leaving home. The second one, more rhythmical, describes a battle between the Almogàvers and the Turkish army. After a big climax which represents the Almogàvers victory over the Turkish army, the themes which correspond to the Turkish army disappear, representing its defeat.
| It exists a version for symphony orchestra and another concert band.
